Zahirabad

Zahirabad is an industrial town on National Highway 9, about 52 km west of Sangareddy, in Medak District. It lies quite close to the district’s border with Bidar District of Karnataka – Bidar is just 36 km north-west of Zahirabad. Hyderabad - the state capital – is 100 km towards east.

Medak Fort and Medak Church at Medak, Manjira Wildlife Sanctuary and Bidar fort, Solah Khamba Masjid, Bahamani Tombs and Gagan Mahal at Bidar are tourist options available near Zahirabad.

Hyderabad Airport serves Zahirabad. Zahirabad Railway Station is on the Hyderabad – Bidar rail line of South Central Railways.
