Ustrasana stretches the full front of the body, ankles, thighs, groins, abdomen, chest, throat and deep hip flexors. This
asana strengthens back muscles and stimulates the organs of the abdomen and neck.
Preparatory asanas consists of Bhujangasana, Dhanurasana, Salabhasana, Supta Virasana, Urdhva Mukha Svanasana and Virasana.
Dandasana, Dhanurasana, Sarvangasana, Sirsasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana and Virasana are subsequent poses.
In Sanskrit, 'ustra' means 'camel.' Ustrasana is also referred as 'camel pose.'
