Marsar Lake is a picturesque high altitude lake in
Pulwama District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated on the northern slope of the
Harmukh Mountain, about 5 km from
Nagberan.
Lying at an altitude of 3962 m, Marsar Lake is the origin of the Sharabkul Canal, which provides water to the fountains that play in the

Lidder River. A major portion of the water of the
Dal Lake and
Harwan Lake come from the Marsar Lake.
There are delightful camping sites and flower meadows at Sikiwas, 24 km from here. The nearby Tarsar Lake can be approached by crossing a 243 m high bridge from Mansar Lake.
From Pahalgam, Marsar Lake is 35 km away via Aru and Lidderwat.
