Welhe is a taluk headquarters situated 20 km south-west of Kharakvasla, in Pune District. It is 24 km south of Paud and 18 km from Dasave. Pune - the district headquarters – is 32 km to the north-east.
Shivaji Fort at Sinhgad, Khadakwasla Lake, Mulshi Lake and the historic sites and gardens in and around Pune are some places of tourist interest.
