Chiklitan

Chiklitan is a small town situated at an altitude of 11,171 ft above sea level Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 8 km from Samchurche and 194 km from Srinagar.

Chiklitan is surrounded by Mamor in the west, Chomortan in the north, Santakhchan in the east and Saraks in the south. It is an ideal place for the trekking enthusiast.

Chiklitan can be approached easily from Sakist, Pachari, Bod Kharbu, Lamayuru and Kargil. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line.
