Bod Kharbu

Perched at an altitude of 12,345 ft above sea level, Bod Kharbu is a scenic town in Kargil District. It is 195 km from Srinagar.

Bod Kharbu is bordered by Saraks (8 km) in the west, Chiklitan (11 km) in the north, Pachari (9 km) in the east and Kangi (13 km) in the south. Mulbekh Gompa, Mulbekh Chamba, Futu La constitute some of the nearby attractions.

Bod Kharbu is accessible from Mulbekh as well as from Hensikut on the Kargil - Leh Highway. Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line, serves this place. The nearest airport is at Srinagar.
