Statue Junction is the nerve center of
Thiruvananthapuram, located between
East Fort and
Palayam. Originally known as Mavinmoodu, it later became famous as Statue. The name is derived from the famous statue of Diwan T Madhava Rayar, the then Diwan of the King Rama Varma of Travancore, standing at the center of this square. A connecting point to various parts of the city, Statue is one of the busiest spots in Thiurvananthapuram.
