Merces

Merces is located in Tiswadi taluk of North Goa District. It is roughly 4 km from Ribandar and 7 km from Carambolim. The state capital, Panaji, is 6 km north-west.

The perennial spring of Merces is the main attraction. Our Lady of Merces High School is a major educational institution in this area. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Nachinola, Church of Ribander (a ship shaped church on the banks of the Mandovi River), Old Goa-Panjim causeway in Ribander and Carambolim Lake are worth visiting.

Goa Airport and Karmali Railway Station serve the place.
