Manatri




Manatri is a sacred place positioned about 40 km from Baripada town in Mayurbhanj District. The water canals of Gangahar and Kundi encompass the three sides of Manatri. Major point of attraction is the temple of Kakharua Baidyanath. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is built in the architectural style of Orissa. Visitors can view Oriya inscriptions of the Mayurbhanj Royal Family on the walls of the temple. The remnants of an ancient fort can be found in the western part of the temple.

To access Manatri,the nearest railhead is at Baripada.
