Gananath Mela is held at
Gananath Mandir, in
Gananath, about 47 km from
Almora. It falls during Kartik Poornima (October-November) and is celebrated on a grand scale. Devotees, particularly childless couples, throng here to worship and seek the blessings of
Lord Shiva and
Lord Ganesh.
