Alavaipatti is located in
Namakkal District in
Tamil Nadu. It lies near
Rasipuram and is famous for a hill associated with Siddhars. Alavaipatti is around 30 km south of
Salem.
The hill provide home to an ancient
temple dedicated to
Lord Muruga. The famous Ekambaranathar Temple is at the foothills of Alavaipatti. The major festivals celebrated here is Kartikai Somavaaram and Panguni Utthiram.
