Nagaur District




Nagaur District of Rajasthan covers an area of 17,718 sq km. It is bounded by Bikaner and Churu districts in the north, Sikar and Jaipur districts in the east, Ajmer and Pali districts in the south and Jodhpur District in the west. Hindi, English, and Rajasthani are the languages spoken. Nagaur has a dry climate with a hot summer. The average rainfall is 38.86 cm. The main agricultural crops are maize, jowar, paddy, wheat, barley, gram, and pulses.

The important places to visit are Nagaur Fort, Tarkeen Dargah, Jain Temple in glass, Falvruddhi Teerth, Nilakantheshwara Temple, Dadhimati Temple, Makarana, and Kuchaman. Nagaur is the venue of famous Nagaur Cattle Fair. The fair is the second largest in Rajasthan and held every year during the month of Magh (Jan-Feb).
