Mankachar

Mankachar is a small town in West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya. It lies on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Major point of interest is Mir Jumla's Tomb, built in the memory of Mir Jumla - the governor of Bengal during the rule of Aurangzeb. Bhaitbari, Tura Peak and Kata Beel are the nearby excursions.

Guwahati Junction Railway Station and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport are the nearest railhead and airport respectively.
