The great conical temple of Lord Vishnu, built in 1467 during the reign of
King Kyamba, is situated in Bishnupur. The district is also well known for its stoneware production. Other major tourist attractions are Keibul Lamjao National Park, Loktak Lake and Loukoipat Ecological Park.
