Tivsa

Tivsa is a taluk headquarters town situated 13 km south-east of Ner Pinglai, in Amaravati District. It lies on the National Highway 6 and is quite near the district’s border with Wardha District. Talegaon, on the other side of the border, is just 16 km east.

Chikaldara Wildlife Sanctuary, Gugamal National Park, Wan Sanctuary and Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary are some wildlife getaways in the district - the safari in the Melghat Tiger Reserve is a not-to-miss adventure. Chikaldara, Maha Chaitya and Gavilgad are other places of tourist interest in Amaravati.

Sonegaon Airport at Nagpur serves Tivsa. Arvi Railway Station and Chandur Railway Station are the nearest railheads.
