Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple is situated at Shivajinagar, a residential area in the eastern part of
Bangalore. This temple dates back to early 19th century. Originally a small shrine, it was developed into a large temple by a philanthropic person named Doddanna Shetty in 1910. It attracts a large number of devotees especially during the colorful festival of
Holi.
To the right of the Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple is the famous Jumma Masjid. Further ahead is the century old Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple and St Mary's Basilica.
The nearest railhead is Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station.
