Rang Mahal, an imposing structure, is located in
Buria, in
Yamunanagar District of
Haryana. It is believed to have been built during the rule of
Shah Jahan. There is also a belief that Rang Mahal was built by
Birbal and Emperor
Akbar stayed here for a month.
Surrounded by sugarcane and paddy fields, Rang Mahal is a double-storied square-shaped structure. Rang Mahal, however in a ruined state, is noted for its beautifully carved arches and columns which are graced with paintings done in vivid colors.
