Buria is an ancient town located on the right bank of the
Yamuna River. This place is about 4 km east of
Jagadhri,
Yamunanagar District. Earlier, it formed part of a princely state ruled by a scion of the Bhangi.
Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh
guru, had halted here during one of his journeys. There is a
Gurdwara dedicated to him, founded by Mat Hukam Kaur Dhilvan Vali, a Sikh follower. Built in 1920, this gurdwara draws a large number of devotees.
Rang Mahal is the main attraction at Buria. With stone arches and pillars, it is a skilfully crafted palace, built during the reign of
Shah Jahan.

Panipat is only 8 km from here. The nearest railway station is
Panipat Junction Railway Station.
