Adhaura

Adhaura is a taluk headquarters in Kaimur District and lies 58 km south of Bhabhua. Perched at an altitude of 2000 ft on Kaimur plateau, the town offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area.

Surrounded by dense forest and Kaimur Hills, the town is a year-round popular tourist destination. Other tourist spots outside the town include Rohtasgarh Fort, Sasaram and Dehri on Sone.

Nearest airport is at Gaya.

By road, Adhaura is connected with Sasaram, Rohtasgarh, Karar and Bhabhua. Sasaram Railway Station, on Mughal Sarai-Patna route, serves this town.
