Murha Deur Thaan, located in
Darrang District, was a land notorious for human sacrifice during the ancient times. Legend has it that,
Goddess Kamakhya beheaded her priest Kendukalai and his head fell down at this place.
Murha Deur Thaan is north of Kalaigaon, which is around 45 km from Mangaldoi.
