Wankhede

Wankhede is situated near Yavatmal District’s border with Amaravati District, on the Ner-Nandgaon route. Ner is around 20 km south of Wankhede. Yavatmal lies about 50 km south-east of Wankhede.

Chikaldara Wildlife Sanctuary, Gugamal National Park, Wan Sanctuary, Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are interesting wildlife getaways within easy reach. The safari in Melghat Tiger Reserve is a not-to-miss adventure. Chintamani of Kalamb, Mahadeo Temple at Moho village and Sahastrakund Waterfalls are other places worth visiting.
