Venkatesa Perumal Temple




Venkatesa Perumal Temple is a delightful shrine situated at Gunaseelam, in Tiruchirapalli District, Tamil Nadu. It is located about 16 km from Tiruchirapalli, on the northern banks of Cauvery River. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple enshrines Prasanna Venkateshwara as the presiding deity.

It is believed that the holy water sprinkled on the devotees after the Uchi Kala Puja and Artha Jama Puja removes all kinds of evil effects and mind diseases.

The annual festival of the temple is celebrated during the month of September-October with the famous car festival. Koodaravalli and Vaikunta Ekadesi Festival festivals celebrated during December - January, attracts scores of devotees from far and near. Float festival and Brahmotsavam are also celebrated amid much religious fervor.

Tiruchirapalli Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
