Vautha




Vautha is a small village situated about 26 km from Dholka, in Ahmedabad District of Gujarat. It is situated at the confluence of Sabarmati and the Vatrak rivers. It is about 50 km south-west of Ahmedabad.

Vautha is famous for holding the Vautha Mela, one of the most colorful fairs celebrated in the state. It is the only major animal trading fair in Gujarat which falls in the month of Kartik (October-November).

Dholka Railway Station is the nearest railhead. By road, Vautha is well connected with Kheda, Dholka, Vataman, Lothal and Bagodra.
