Tomb of Sheikh Mohammad Kasim is situated near the
Ujra Mosque in
Kavaratti, the administrative headquarters of
Lakshadweep. It is a place of pilgrimage and is held in very high esteem by the Islanders. Sheikh Mohammad Kasim is the first Thangal of Lakshadweep and is considered as the 29th descendant of the Prophet. His cap, walking stick and flag are still preserved in this mosque.
