Thazhathangadi Shri Venkatachalapathy Tirumala Temple

Shri Venkatachalapathy Tirumala Temple is situated at Thazhathangadi in the outskirts of Kottayam town. The main deity of the temple is Shri Venkatachalapathy. Shri Venkatachalapathy is flanked on either side by Lakshmi Devi and Bhoomi Devi. The main idol made of Panchaloha also has a sword.

Seperate niches are earmarked for the deities of Ganapati, Garuda, Nagayakshi and Nagaraja. A small elephant rostrum is situated nearby. Tirunakkara Shiva Temple, Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple, Kumaranalloor Bhagavathy Temple and Kumarakom tourist paradise are close by.
