Tamranga is a natural lake located in
Bongaigaon District of
Assam. It lies near Bishnupur in
North Salmara. It is also known as Tamranga Beel.
The lake is considered as ornithologist's paradise as a large number of migratory birds visit here during winter. This lake is a combination of two lakes and is fed by the floodwater of Brahmaputra River. Accommodation facilities are available in tourist rest house.
It lies 3 km west of National Highway 31 B (Jogighopa-North Salmara).
