Talgadi is a popular folk dance of
Goa. It is usually performed during festivals and rituals associated with the spring season. This is an outdoor dance performed usually in an open area and is noted for its beauty and sophistication.
Talgadi involves a group of male dancers waving sticks to the beat of drums. The hand movements have many similarities with those used in the Dandia Raas dance of Gujarat. The dancers dress in colorful costumes and adorn themselves with flowers.
