Sunnit

Lying at a height of 9,491 ft above sea level, Sunnit is a town in Kargil District. It is about 196 km away from Srinagar. Sunnit is surrounded by Chalten (4 km) in the west, Dah (6 km) in the north, Kanutse (5 km) in the east and Sanjak (2 km) in the south. Namika La and Mulbekhcan be visited.

Sunnit can be approached easily on the Kargil – Leh Road. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, served by the Northern Railways.
