Sreekanteswaram Temple




Sreekanteswaram Temple, surrounded by Punnapuram and Kaithamukku on the west, Puthenchantha on the east and Fort on the south, is situated to the southwest of the Pazhaya Sreekanteswaram Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is worshipped in the form of a Shivling. Sreekanteswaram Temple is also home to sub shrines of Lord Ganesh - the remover of all obstacles, Lord Krishna - the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu and Nagaraja - the serpent king. The main offering of the temple is Ksheera Dhara and Pushpanjali.
