Shillong Bus Station is a major bus terminal in Meghalaya. It is operated by Meghalaya State Transport Corporation. Situated in the East Khasi Hills District, the city is connected to Guwahati and Silchar by National Highway 44. Buses ply to all major destinations inside and outside the state on hourly frequency. Transport corporations of neighboring states also run regular services to and from Shillong. Buses are available to all tourist places in the district.
