Serrarim is a small town situated midway between Cherrapunji - the wettest place on earth – and Latlyngkoi, in Meghalaya. Shillong, the state capital, is around 50 km north of Serrarim.
Mawsmai Falls, the fourth largest waterfall in India, the oldest Presbyterian Church in the country, Krem Mawmluh Cave and Thangkharang Park are places of tourist interest in the neighborhood.
