Mawsmai Falls, an important tourist spot, lies 2 km south of the
David Scott Monument at Sohra (Cherrapunjee). It is one among the highest waterfalls in the world and is also known as Nohsngithiang Falls. Situated in the Mawsmai Village, this falls from a height of 1,035 ft, cascades all its way down to join the swift river below, which is a fascinating view.
