Sekta Mound is a protected archaeological site located at Sekta village in
Imphal West District of
Manipur. Locally the place is known as Sekta Kei. It is about 16 km from
Imphal on the Imphal-
Ukhrul road.
This site was jointly excavated by the Archaeological Survey of India and State Archaeology, Manipur. It was here, where the practice of secondary burial was discovered. Now this site is preserved as a living museum.
