Sapta Rishi Teertham




Sapta Rishi Teertham is the place where, according to legends, the Saptarishis (who are believed to have formed the Great Bear stellar constellation) worshipped Lord Muruga. The Sapta Kannikas (Seven Virgins), also associated with this legend, are housed in a small shrines here.

This holy place is located in Tiruttani in Tiruvallur District, amidst greatly picturesque scenery dotted with shady trees and seven cool springs. the temples of Lord Vijayaragama Swami, Arumuga Swami and Veerateeswarar are nearby attractions.
