Rangmarg is a small settlement located in the northern tip of
Doda District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about eight kilometers away from Sheshnag and it lies on the
Amarnath Cave trekking route. This area is mostly inhabited by
Balti shepherds.
A trek from Panikhar through Lonvilad Gali pass can lead to Rangmarg. One of the tributaries of the Chenab flows through this place. Sheshnag Lake is within a short distance from here.
Rangmarg can be approached on the Pahalgam – Kargil road. Buses ply frequently from Sheshnag and Humpet.
