Patkai Hills are located in Dibrugarh District of
Assam. The
Brahmaputra River flows through the northern margin of the district and reaches the Patkai foothills. The
Burhi Dhing River meanders 90 km through the Patkai Hills before falling to the foothills. The famous
Saikhowa National Park of Assam is on the northern part of the Patkai hills.
Numerous tribal communities inhabit the hill ranges.
