Pare Chu River originates from Dutung near Parang La in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. The river is formed by the confluence of two water bodies. It is the only river of its kind to have its source in India, flow into Tibet near Chumar and enter the country again in Spiti, reaching Tso Morari Lake .
