Panom-Kakhang Dance




A special dance of the Marings tribe in Manipur, Panom-Kakhang is performed once in every six years in the month of May. All the twenty Marings original lineages are represented by a dancing group. The performance begins from the sacred place and ends at the house of all the lineal heads, where the whole performance is repeated.
