Panipat Bus Station is situated adjacent to Hotel Le Gem, a three star hotel in
Panipat, about 92 km north of
New Delhi. The station operates local services to all main places in
Panipat District and inter-district services to all districts of
Haryana. Buses ply from Panipat to
Ambala,
Jind, Karnal and
Sonipat. Inter-state services are available to all major cities in
Uttar Pradesh and
Delhi.
City buses, taxis, auto-rickshaws and cycle rickshaws are the best means to tour about within the city. Panipat Museum, Ibrahim Lodi's Tomb, Dargah of Bu Ali Shah Qalandar, Jain Temples and Kabuli Shah Mosque are places worth visiting.
Panipat has a major railway station on Panipat-Delhi section of the Northern Railways.
