National Medical Library (NML), located close to the
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS),
New Delhi is a comprehensive reference facility in advanced medical and allied fields. Set up during the colonial period, the libray was revamped in 1966 to its present state. The Directorate of General Health Services runs this institution.
NML became the national focal point of HELLIS Network under WHO in 1982. The library informs medical professionals on the latest advancement in their feild through books, reports, journals, and other resources. Special training programs are also conducted for medical and health science librarians.
