Nambol




Nambol is one of the three sub-divisions of Bishnupur District. This town, 13 km south of Imphal, is a developing commercial center of the district. A Japanese War memorial and the sacred abode of Khoriphaba, a pre-Hindu Manipuri deity, situated on a small hillock are the main tourist attractions of the town.

Tiddim, the road connecting Imphal and Bishnupur District, passes through this town. Silchar Railway Station, 180 km from Imphal, is the nearest railhead.
