Muvalgapudur is a small village situated near the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border, about 23 km east of Pallavoor in Palakkad District. Kollengode is north-west and Alathur is about 30 km west.

Nearest airport is at Coimbatore. Palakkad Junction Railway Station and Kollengode Railway Station serve Muvalgapudur.
