Manda

The Manda group of peaks are situated in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal. They pose an irresistible challenge to mountaineers. Being part of the Himalayas, the peaks boast imposing rocks flanked by snow. There are three peaks in total named Manda 1 (6,510 m), Manda 2 (6,568 m) and Manda 3 (6,529 m.) The usual route taken by the mountaineers is through the Chirbas village.

The Bhagirathi and Shivling peaks adjoin the Manda peaks. Gaumukh is a sacred place lying to the west. Kedar Tal Lake also lies to the west of the peaks.
