Mamor

Perched at an altitude of 10,767 ft, Mamor is a town in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. Neighboring places include Hagnis in the west, Chomortan in the north, Chiklitan in the east and Saraks in the south. Mamor lies on the trekking route between Kargil and Leh. Mulbekh Gompa, Mulbekh Chamba and Futu La can be visited.

Mamor can be easily reached from Mulbekh by state buses plying to Srinagar. Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line, serves this place. The nearest airport is at Srinagar.
