Lattan Masjid stands in
Gaur city. Lattan Mosque, also known as 'the Painted Mosque,' was built by a Sultan and dedicated to the courtesan of his court. The walls of the mosque are adorned with intricate artistic works in bright colours.This historic mosque was probably built between the late 15th century and early 16th century. The mosque probably derived its name from 'natin,' the word for 'dancer' in the Bengali language.
