Lakshmi Pushkarni, also known as Kalyani Pushkarni, is a sacred tank within the premises of
Panakala Narasimhaswamy Temple in
Mangalagiri. According to legends, when the Gods churned ocean with Mandara hill,
Goddess Lakshmi came out with Amruta (nectar) and as gratitude, the Gods erected Kalyani Pushkarni for the goddess to bathe before her union with
Lord Vishnu.
