Lakota Palace




Built as a drought relief measure by Maharaja Jam Saheb Ranmalji, Lakota palace is situated on the island in the center of Lakota Lake. This fort like palace has semi-circular bastions, turrets, carved jarokha balconies, a pavilion with guard-rooms housing swords, powder flasks and musket loops. Stone bridges lead to the palace. The interiors of the palace are adorned with frescos, depicting the Jam sahebs on horseback shooting lions, pigsticking or holding court and Indian lifestyles like the picturesque holy bathing ghats at Dwarka.

Jamnagar Airport and Jamnagar Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead respectively. Jamnagar is linked with Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Rajkot by road.
