Lakota Lake, also known as Ranmal Lake, is situated at
Jamnagar in
Gujarat. In the heart of the Lakota Lake is the Lakhota Palace (an ancient palace of the Maharaja of Nawanagar), which presently houses a museum, connected using a causeway.
The lake side is considered as the best place for bird-watchers, as around 75 species of birds are spotted here during winters. One of the biggest pearl fishing centers, the Jamnagar Pearl Fishery, is situated on the side of the lake.
Jamnagar Govardhanp Airport is situated 10 km from the town center. Jamnagar Railway Station is a major railhead of Gujarat. By road, Jamnagar is linked with Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Rajkot.
