Kukichara is a small town lying south of
Hailakandi District. It is located on the banks of the Dhaleswari River.

The towns of Mizoram, Bilkhawthlir and Kolasib are situated within 20 km.Katlicherra railway station, on the Katakhal- Bairabi rail route, is the nearest railhead. The National Highway 154 going to Bairabi is the nearest main road route.
