Bairabi




Bairabi, on the banks of the Tlawng River, is a major town in Kolasib District of northeast Mizoram. It is a few kilometers away from the district headquarters of Kolasib. Bairabi Hydel Project, Rengdil Lake and fishing in the Tlawng are the main attractions of this place.

Bairabi is 130 km from Aizawl. Bairabi Railway Station is a major railhead in the North East Frontier Railways. The National Highway 154 connecting Panchgram of Assam and Bilkhawthlir of Mizoram passes through this town.
